Research: Effortless Writing

  1. instead of “breaking my head” trying to figure it out
    • from flow, channeling
  2. the “simple basic step” is:
    • waiting
    • listening to a recording or reading one sentence or one paragraph, and then stopping and waiting
    • a thought will appear, together with an impulse to write it – and it will carry me to do it, I don’t need to force it
    • summarizing existing content instead of trying to come up with everything from myself
  3. write only one short sentence describing the gist. Then –
    • either define a concept with one sentence
    • or give example
    • etc. atomic types of one sentence elaborations
  4. of course if the simple steps start a positive momentum going, and words flow out – “ride the wave”
  5. Having a clear created “vision” which includes:
    • Conceptualization:
      • imagination of the desired product (text)
      • clear reason why I want it to be written, who is the intended audience, and what I’m going to do with the text once it’s written
  6. how I would feel once it’s written, specifically the anticipation for the new things that the written text will enable
  7. Saying it, while iteratively refining it, until the very act of saying it evokes excitement about the text
  8. For a text whose ultimate purpose is to provide knowledge and instructions on how to do something – don’t just write the theoretical text. Do it in tandem with actually applying it even before it’s finished, and the acting itself will give energy to gradually write more and more of the theoretical text
